Talk at PET-con 2026.1

EXDIGIT member Nicola Leschke attended the 15th Privacy Enhancing Techniques Convention (PET-con, https://fg-pet.gi.de/veranstaltung/15th-privacy-enhancing-techniques-convention) hosted by the KASTEL Institute for IT Security in Karlsruhe.

The PET-con is a networking event from the PET department of the German Informatics Society (GI), targeting in particular (PhD) students. Hence, our Nicola Leschke presented her PhD research in a talk called “Engineering Personal Data Access”. The informal format of the PET-con allows for in-depth discussions and exchange between (young) privacy researchers. The importance of such network events is highlighted by the fact that PET-con recently switched to a half-year cycle, featuring many hosting institutions across Germany – and Austria, with the last PET-con 2025.2 which we hosted in Salzburg last September (https://exdigit.plus.ac.at/pet-con-salzburg/).
