Christine Bauer at “She goes AI Connect”
On June 15, the “She goes AI Connect” networking event took place in Vienna. The University of Salzburg was represented by our EXDIGIT Prof. Christine Bauer. The event centered on the signing of the “She goes AI” charter, through which representatives from academia, business, and education are committed to increasing women’s participation in the field of artificial intelligence.
The “She goes AI” Charter was signed during the event. It reaffirms the shared goal of empowering women throughout their entire educational and career paths in AI, fostering female talent, systematically building AI skills, bringing more women into leadership and decision-making positions, and breaking down structural barriers. In summary, the initiative aims to sustainably strengthen women’s equal participation in the development and application of artificial intelligence. Among those participating were initiator Doris Schmidauer, Federal Minister Eva-Maria Holzleitner, and State Secretary Alexander Pröll. The event concluded with a festive reception attended by Doris Schmidauer and Federal President Alexander Van der Bellen.
Christine Bauer conducts research on responsible intelligent systems and the interplay between artificial intelligence, humans, and society.
