EXDIGIT Scientists at the Salzburger Business Run

How about balancing busy research days with some evening sports activities? Eight EXDIGIT scientists were in Salzburg on September 17th, running through the old city as part of the Salzburger Business Run 2026.

They were among the 27 students and 32 employees at the University of Salzburg who participated in this friendly competition through narrow streets, the beautiful Mirabell Garden, and even through the old city parking garage in the Mönchsberg mountain – altogether a loop of almost 6km.

EXDIGIT was represented by two sporty teams:
• Uni-DAS_EXDIGIT#1 (Glenda Hannibal, Arne Bathke, and Eugen Unterberger)
• Uni-PEPSys (Jens Leicht, Pia Neuwirth, and Frank Pallas)

Additionally, Daniel Katzlberger from team Uni-csbg and Michael Linortner from team Uni-DAS-läuft participated in the run.

The teams had a lot of fun and got to experience our city in a unique way. They also had a chance to catch up over a post-run drink and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere. Most importantly, everyone crossed the finish line, whether they wanted a personal record or had a good time with colleagues and friends!
