EXDIGIT at Austrian Computer Science Day 2026

EXDIGIT researchers Cansu Demir, Nicola Leschke, Pia Neuwirth and Frank Pallas participated in the Austrian Computer Science Day (ACSD) 2026 at TU Wien, which brought together researchers from across Austria to discuss the role of computer science in addressing societal challenges. We provided four contributions to the program:

– Nicola Leschke contributed as a panelist in the discussion “Security in Modern Society”, bringing in her expertise in privacy engineering.
– Cansu Demir joined the panel “Responsibility in Modern Society: From Policy to Practice” and presented the poster “Making Sense of Uncertainty in Robotaxis”, exploring how passengers interpret uncertainty in fully driverless robotaxis.
– Pia Neuwirth presented the poster “From Alignment to Evaluation – Automating LLM Experimentation”, focusing on a simpler process for LLM alignment experiments.

The event provided valuable opportunities for scientific exchange, networking, and discussions on future collaborations within the Austrian computer science community.

ACSD 2026 also employed the Offlinetags, a photo preference mechanism introduced by a team under the guidance of Univ.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. Frank Pallas, allowing participants to communicate their photography preferences through a social and machine-readable signal, supporting a more privacy-aware event experience.
