Interdisciplinary lecture on AI and privacy
On 18th June 2025, another highlight in the public lecture series “Privatsphäre in der digitalen Welt” (privacy in a digital world) was a session on the hot topic of AI and privacy was presented from an interdisciplinary duo from the University of Salzburg, namely Mag. Michael Hasler, LL.M. (data protection officer, https://www.plus.ac.at/datenschutz/datenschutzbeauftragter/), and EXDIGIT member Nicola Leschke, M.Sc. (department of Artificial Intelligence and Human Interfaces). Between them, the two presenters brought a rich blend of perspectives to the talk, bridging technical academic research and practical legal experience.
This talk closes the lecture series, which targeted all bachelor students of the University of Salzburg and the interested public, and featured well-known researchers from various faculties of the University of Salzburg and the whole German-speaking area. Due to the huge success, we are already working on next year’s edition!
