EXDIGIT retreat in Strobl: Strengthening internal networks

Greetings from the first ever EXDIGIT retreat in Strobl at lake Wolfgangsee! From 05.06.2025 to 06.06.2025, the scientific staff met at bifeb resort in Strobl for two intensive days of exchange.

Central to the retreat was a collective effort to identify shared core values that could serve as the basis for our interdisciplinary work. The sessions were organized by the team, for the team and included both input from peers and various interactive formats, reaching from rapid-fire speed-dating sessions to spark new research ideas to immersive in-depth discussions about motivation, methods, and aims of the individual researchers. With strong foundations now in place, participants left the lake with renewed energy and concrete plans for future collaborations.
