EXDIGIT at Salz21
Salt is essential in the history of Salzburg. In the 21st century, the essential asset for companies and professionals is a good network. Therefore, the exhibition Salz21 aims to connect Salzburg’s brilliant minds from industry and research. We had the opportunity to present the project Excellence in Digital Interdisciplinary Technologies (EXDIGIT) with its many researchers and the three bridge professorships at this years exhibition on the 5th of March 2025.
Among others, the Privacy Engineering and Policy-Aligned Systems (PEPSYS (LINK: https://pepsys-group.github.io/)) group around Univ.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. Frank Pallas presented three prototypes that enhance user sovereignty:
- TIBO, a chatbot that answers questions about a privacy policy, code available on github (https://github.com/DaSKITA/chatbot)
- CODE, a browser extension that encodes transparency information into traffic light symbols, code available on github (https://github.com/Transparency-Information-Language/CODE2)
- DARA, a website and browser extension that simplifies personal data access requests, try it out here (https://daskita.github.io/dara-frontend/)
Moreover, the entire team was visiting the exhibition and engaged in fruitful discussions with other exhibitors and visitors.
